The rumbles of booms of Arctic Thunder Open House will return to the Anchorage area July 20th and 21st. Stay tuned as more details will be released in the coming weeks!

Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, is opened to the public during the Arctic Thunder Open House, July 30, 2022. This biennial event hosted by JBER is one of the largest in the state and one of the premier aerial demonstrations in the world. The event features multiple performers to include the JBER Joint Forces Demonstration Team, U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team, Pacific Air Forces C-17 Demonstration Team and U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration team. Spotlight | JBER and 673d Security Forces Squadron’s Military Working Dogs

Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson’s Military Working Dogs are a critical component of the mission. Trained to apprehend fleeing suspects, sniff out explosives, and conduct searches, these canine service members are highly trained. They work with their handlers daily, practicing the skills they need on the battlefield and at home station.
