Special Needs Day & Family DoD Day
Special Needs Day and Family DoD Day is on 29 June 2018 from 09:00 a.m. to 04:30 p.m. It is for DoD Family Members or by-invitation-only event to watch the Air Show rehearsal. The focus is to provide outside organizations a chance to accommodate people diagnosed with either a physical, intellectual or emotional conditions, as well as the elderly, who might have difficulty getting through the crowds during our scheduled Open House on 30 June and 1 July 2018. Please note we will only have two vendors available and not all static displays will be in place for this event.

EVENT PASS & DoD ID CARD HOLDERS
Entry Points: Event pass and DoD ID card holders may access the event through the following gate:
- Post Road Gate
DoD ID card holders only may access the event through the following gates:
- Government Hill
- **Muldoon Gate (No Access to Arctic Thunder parking)
Parking: The color of the pass issued to you corresponds to the parking you will have access to. Please check the event map here via the menu above, or on the Arctic Thunder app.
*DoD ID card holders shall use all brown colored parking areas. Please reference the event map for details.

Lost Child Program
At the 3 main entrances (General Public, DoD, Handicap), we will be providing "Lost Child" wristbands. These wristbands are intended to hasten the reunion of your loved one during the event. Parents and/or guardians will be recommended to write their cell phone number(s) on the wrist band and to take a current photo of their loved one as they enter.
JBER Child and Youth Services will be running the Lost Child Zone in Hangar 2. Security Forces will work with the Lost Child Area Team to help disseminate photos and coordinate if any lost child is brought in or reported as missing at the event.
Lost children & parents shall be taken to Lost Child Zone to reunited in Hangar 2.

Arctic Thunder General Public Entry
- Gate # 1 - Boniface Parkway
- Gate # 2 - Fort Richardson via D Street Exit
For those arriving from North of Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (Eagle River or the Valley), please enter through the Fort Richardson Gate via D Street Exit. For those arriving from Anchorage or South of Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, please enter through the Boniface Gate via Boniface Parkway.
You will be directed to FREE general parking after entry.
From 7:30 a.m. to noon, the Boniface Gate will have three lanes inbound and one lane outbound.
After 2 p.m., no open house traffic will be allowed through Boniface Gate or Richardson Gate.
*Individuals with children are requested to pick up arm bands at Entry Control Points or in Hangar 2.
*Handicap parking is available for vehicles with the proper identification and markings.
