Coming In July

While Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and the Arctic Thunder Open House (ATOH) planning team is hard at work coordinating with all the supporting agencies and developing informational and promotional products for the looming event, let’s take a look at what new features to expect this year.

featuresSo far the ATOH planning team has launched the official website for the Arctic Thunder Open House and air show.  They have also launched several social media efforts to including the Arctic Thunder Open House Facebook page and Twitter account.  The ATOH planning team has also uploaded several videos and posted them to the Arctic Thunder Open House gallery along with pictures from earlier years’ events.  Coming in early July, the ATOH planning team will release an update to interactive map for the Arctic Thunder Open House and air show.  This is a first for the ATOH planning team where prior to the event and throughout our guests will be able to have an interactive tool available to act as a guide.  Included capabilities shall include the display of parking information, lavatories, static displays, vendors, and much more.

An additional ability that the ATOH planning team is working diligently toward, is the inclusion of live video broadcasts for this years events.  While the ATOH planning team does not expect being able to broadcasting the entire event live at this time, it has planned to broadcast several performances and give some event commentary.  The links to these videos streams will be posted under our Live Video page.

With the start of Arctic Thunder Open House 2016 right around the corner, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and the ATOH planning team is looking forward to hosting what will be an amazing event for all to take part in.  We look forward to seeing you soon!
